The city of Arles and LUMA: a cutural renewal wind – The central room of LUMA Arles at the Parc des Ateliers will be a resource building. Designed by Frank Gehry, it will welcome a research center, a library, workshops and seminaries, artists studios and exhibition halls. The building will be composed of a 15000m² basement on which the resource-building will rely, emerging from a transparent volume which links the inside to the outside.

What will the effects of wind be on the building…? Associated to the different project leaders, the GIE S2A team in Montigny le Bretonneux accomplished numerous tests and aero-acoustic measurements on the set of the upcoming Ghery tower. A key-test for this work as innovative as harmonious, to answer the project’s expectations… and the future occupants’!

Mission accomplished. Opening scheduled in 2018.
